Hundreds of people from all over the county put their best feet forward on Sunday, (June 14) at Leicester?s Victoria Park to raise over £35,000 by taking part in the Walk of Life 2010!
A Village Fete and fun dog show on at the same time in the park all raised money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
Maggie Deere, events fundraiser for Rainbows said: ?The turn-out was fantastic on the day, which was loads of fun. The dog show was a highlight and our new Rainbows Bear mascot was a star attraction for the kids!
?Every penny counts towards enriching and improving care for children with life-limiting illnesses and we want to thank everyone for taking part.?
Walkers opted for either five miles or 15 miles ? and those who stayed behind, a Village Fete with dog show, stage show, belly dancers, games, rides, stalls and many other attractions entertained the crowds.
